Kepton is a tool that helps an independent business owner manage their own Google Business Profile. This page explains, in plain terms, how Kepton handles the data it touches.

What Kepton accesses

Kepton accesses a business owner's Google Business Profile data — such as their business information, hours, reviews, and listing performance — only after that owner explicitly authorizes it through Google's standard sign-in (OAuth). Kepton never accesses any profile without the verified owner's authorization.

Why Kepton accesses it

Kepton uses this access solely to display and manage the owner's own listing on their behalf — for example, showing their reviews, helping them keep their hours accurate, and letting them respond to customers. Any change Kepton writes back to a profile is initiated by the owner; Kepton does not make changes on its own.

What Kepton does not do

Kepton does not sell, rent, share, or otherwise redistribute Google Business Profile data to third parties. It does not aggregate or repurpose the data for advertising or resale. Data is used only to provide the service to the authorizing owner.

Data retention and revocation

An owner can revoke Kepton's access at any time through their Google Account permissions. When access is revoked, Kepton stops accessing the associated profile.
